The first full-sized piece of art I've done in over a year, and I'm happy that someone made me get off my ass and do something.
My commission instructions were "A lake inside a tree"... Virginia said a simple black and white sketch would be fine...but then when I sketched out my idea, I got this idea in my head which required colour... so I broke the good oils and got to work. This is the final result. This is the best quality picture I could get with a digital camera. (at least I didn't scan it in a million pieces and stitch them together poorly as in times  )comments and crits welcome and encouraged. detail here [link] (water-mixable) oils on canvas, 24 hours. 50cm x 75cm |
